Hazel Press hopes that the digital offset press will fill a large gap in the market for short-run, high-quality printing.
Director Tony Duncombe said: "In the past I didnt know which way Id jump when it came to investing and was disillusioned with digital presses. But the TruePress combines conventional litho with digital, which is ideal."
Launched at Ipex 98, the TruePress combines digital printing with conventional offset methods, using standard offset inks, consumables, stocks and polyester plates for low cost.
Peter Morris, sales manager for digital printing at Litho Supplies, said: "As well as saving money, the TruePress has great quality benefits as it uses first-generation imaging."
Hazel Press is hoping to attract companies from marketing and advertising as well as publishers, charities and the educational sector, which requires short-run samples.
Litho Supplies is currently talking with five or six other prospects about purchasing the TruePress over the next two months.
