Litho Supplies looks to H2 for improved performance

Litho Supplies' overall performance for the second half of 2009 will be "significantly improved", the company has said, despite predicting a lower turnover than for the first six months of the year.

The supplier cited an ongoing lack of available funding and finance for "suppressed" capital equipment investment in what it described as a challenging environment.

It said that the combination of "careful" bad debt management and reduced overheads would help the company's progress in the second half of 2009.

In August this year, Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses handed the sales, customer support and marketing for its UK and Ireland sheetfed businesses to Litho Supplies.

According to Litho Supplies, this partnership has been "well received with good performance" and, in turn, it said it expected this to impact on its bottom line for the remainder of the year.

The company identified next year's Ipex print tradeshow as an opportunity to market its product offering to a broader customer base.

"The board remains committed to steering the company through these difficult times and is extremely grateful to our suppliers, our customers, our finance providers and our shareholders for their support," it added.
