Until now printers and brand owners using the Linkz technology relied on Linkz technicians to create the microsites.
“They can now without any understanding of HTML build a site with a range of options. They can completely customise the colours, the background, the image, the icons and the text. You can do it in minutes and it’s really easy to do,” said founder of Linkz-IM Robert Berkeley.
The new tool is being rolled out to all existing Linkz customers, as part of the standard £50 a month package, which enables the customer to create as many microsites as they need and also includes data analytics tools.
Upgrade options are available for those wanting template fonts and functions not included as part of the Microsite Builder package, and for those wanting more analytics tools.
The benefit of printers and brand owners building the sites themselves is that they can be more responsive to last minute requests for interactive print and in altering the sites, said Berkeley.
He said: “The fact you can build your own micro site means you can follow up what’s working and what’s not working and then tweak accordingly on the fly. It’s very easy to go in and change if it’s a competition and the deadline’s changed for example.”
Linkz is currently used by two UK printers, Paragon UK and Berkshire Labels, and a company in New Zealand and one in the US.
