The new industrial system, called the Lexmark Mustang Printer, can print at speeds of more than 231m per minute and at resolutions of 600dpi.
The product is available with both single heads, for spot colour jobs, and bulk heads, for larger volumes.
According to Lexmark, the Mustang Printer targets jobs such as mail addressing, product coding, packaging, tickets, barcode labels, bills and statements.
Lexmark consumer printer division vice president Najib Bahous said: “This new industrial printing system uses our advanced thermal inkjet technology to provide our OEM partners with a solution that delivers speed, reliability and superior cost performance.”
Both heads are available with Lexmark’s pigmented aqueous inks which, according to the company, provide “sharp crisp text and graphics” on glossy media and other surfaces.
