The refurbished system replaces an ECRM imagesetter and has been configured to use Agfa's low-chemistry Azura plates, launched at this year's Ipex exhibition.
Glenn Barnes, managing director of the 10-staff business said that the investment had provided a cost-effective means of moving to CTP and helped the family run business promote its environmental credentials.
"The Agfa plates run well and are clean and easy to work with. As a package, the equipment and plates have moved our business forward significantly," he said.
The system was supplied by Marlowe Graphic Services to the 30-year-old printer, which produces labels and business collateral, as well as books, leaflets and magazines.
