The BBD&P awards are a joint initiative organised by the BPIF in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and global industry community BookMachine.
According to the BPIF, they “are the only industry awards to promote and celebrate the excellence and craftsmanship of the British book design and production industry.”
The final, extended entry deadline is 22 July 2022.
To qualify, books must have been published between 9 July 2021 and 1 July 2022. The awards are open to printers, publishers and designers.
The 16 categories span all aspects of the book publishing disciplines, from Fine Binding & Limited Edition and Educational, to Photographic and Trade illustrated. They also feature the free to enter Best Student Book award, which has a prize of £500 and a short internship with a leading designer, publisher or printer.
The winners will be announced at the Awards gala dinner on 7 November 2022 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Last year’s ceremony was attended by around 250 of the publishing world’s leading lights.
