The Newsetter V120 is an entry-level CTP machine for newspaper printers and is capable of producing up to 120 plates per hour at 1,270dpi.
It will be on stand 2010 at the Brighton exhibition, imaging KPG's VioletNews plate, which was launched at IfraExpo in Amsterdam last year.
The V120 is the first of a range of violet platesetters from KPG, with higher-output machines producing more than 300 plates per hour in the pipeline.
The machine is also KPG's first foray into producing a violet CTP platesetter. Terry Baber, KPG UK managing director, said that the move towards violet plate production was "a new direction for KPG [which] supports our commitment to offering our customers' choice".
KPG's stand will also feature its compact thermal platesetter, the Newsetter TH100/TH180CL imaging to the ThermalNews Gold plate and running with the News Fidelity plate quality management set-up and the News Monitor Remote Diagnostic System.
