The service will allow corporate and public sector customers to outsource the management of large print room facilities to the digital kit manufacturer.
Konica Minolta unveiled the new Information Managed Services (IMS) division at the opening of its ihub centre in central London.
Headed up by Christian Grauwiler, Konica Minolta claims the division will help manage the contracts of legacy equipment and provide new bizhub printers.
Consumable items, equipment provision, device asset management and kit support is handled by its Managed Print Service (MPS), which is available for machine fleets of 10 and more.
Grauwiler said that an increasing number of clients are becoming aware of the savings offered by efficient print fleet management.
He said: "Effective management requires constant attention; this is where IMS can help the customer focus on his core business while we do what we do best – manage print."
At the opening of its new Baker Street-based ihub, Konica Minolta also launched its the bizhub Pro C65hc – the first model to machine to implement its High Chroma toner technology.
The toner, which is claimed to recreate an RGB monitor's colour palate using CMYK, is being targeted at customers in the graphic design, point-of-sale and commercial markets.
The High Chroma is claimed to produce a wider colour gamut than a conventional digital printer by improving imaging accuracy and the position of each dot position.
The polymerised toner is also said to absorb 20% of light while reflecting 80%, producing more vibrant images than before.
Pauline Brooks, group product manager of production print, said: "Our new High Chroma technology allows commercial printers to produce high-impact quality colour work, for example point of sale materials, in short runs on demand."
