Kodak announced that it intended to buy SDP last year (PrintWeek, 27 November), ending speculation about the identity of the ink-jet printing firms suitor.
Kodak Versamark will be headquartered in Dayton Ohio and will be run by president Nachum Shamir, who was formerly president and chief executive of SDP and chief executive of the Scitex Corporation.
Kodaks other print interests include its joint ventures NexPress Solutions and Kodak Polychrome Graphics, which it shares with Heidelberg and Sun Chemical respectively, as well as its wholly owned subsidiary ENCAD.
