On display was the NexPress SE 3000 digital production press, designed for high quality photo album, 4x6inch and 5x7 inch prints; photo and coffee table books on a wide variety of substrates.
The machine caters to the needs for personalised photo albums, brochures, VDP and a wide variety of applications.
In recent time, the NexPress SE 3000 digital production presses have been installed at Perfect Digital Press in Surat; Neel Hi-Tech Prints in Rajkot and Dulari Digital in Ludhiana and Sumulas in Bengaluru.
According to Ramani Viswanathan, vice president for sales, digital print, electrophotographic printing solution business at Kodak, who is present at the show, all the newly installed NexPress SE 3000 will be upgraded to NexPress SX. "The upgradation will include a longer sheet-size of 26-inches, smaller ink particle size with the new Kodak NexPress HD dry ink, new fifth imaging unit with light black, and a new matt printing effect option."
Viswanathan also informed that a deal for installation of the first Kodak NexPress SX in India is at the final stage of negotiation, but declined to name the site.
The Image Today 2011 show has been organised by Buysell Interaction, which has conducted previous Image Today shows in Chennai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad in India and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
