The machine, which is claimed to be the world's first toner-based wide-format printer, picked up the award in the ‘Wide Format High Volume Colour Production Printer' category.
The KIP machine was recognised by judges as being a competitive system "with a quick return on investment for mid-to-high-volume printing needs".
The Color 80 was designed for performance, easy maintenance and serviceability, the company said.
KIP launched the Color 80 in October last year, targeting the full-colour Computer Aided Design (CAD) market with output speeds of up to four A0 prints a minute.
