The Tamworth-based family-run print company installed the new machine, which was bought directly from HP, in December. With seven ink stations, including speciality inks, it will be used to produce work including high-impact posters, folders, and speciality products.
KEP managing director Mark Plowman said he had recognised a shortcoming in production optimisation, which has been easily filled by the Indigo.
“We are very excited to bring the new Indigo into our plant. We’re keeping our existing Indigo 7900, but with the volumes that we are producing, it’s more commercially viable to produce on a bigger machine.
“This machine will give us a greater range of productivity, especially for smaller runs. We’re glad to be able to offer this machine’s capabilities to our clients.”
He added: “This Indigo prints thicker material in a larger size, and still allows us to do all the special effects.
“We’ve been thrilled with our other Indigos because it’s a greater quality than traditional toner-based digital machines. It was a no-brainer to go with this particular one.”
