The first Rapida 205, which can take a 1.51mx2.05m sheet, will go to poster printer Ellerhold, based near KBAs Radebeul factory, at the end of January. It will also take a Rapida 185, which can take a 1.3mx1.85m sheet, for its plant in Zirndorf.
KBA has sold nine super-wide presses to date, although none are destined for the UK.
Next November it will ship a six-colour Rapida 205 to Challenge Printing in Minneapolis, while Te Neues in Kempen, Germany, will get a five-colour machine, as will JCM Schlieren in Switzerland. KBA has three more orders, two destined for an unnamed European country and one for the US.
