KBA seals 1.5m press sales

KBA announced two sales of its presses worth well over 1.5m at Drupa.

Aldridge Print Group has replaced a six-colour and a two-colour Heidelberg with its Rapida 105 10-unit sheetfed press.

Managing director Robert Aldridge bought the 1.5m machine for its print quality and ability to work five-back-five on material of up to 700 microns.

"I have been happy with the Heidelberg products but we are now attracted by KBA's newer technology," said Aldridge, who is based in Mitcham, Surrey.

Jennings DAR is installing a 74 Karat+L DI press with coater at its Barnsley plant in August.

One application it will be used for is packaging prototyping for Jennings' international client base.

The design, artwork and repro firm chose the machine with full in-line coating ability because of its "excellent substrate flexibility and its fast makeready", said managing director John Jennings.
