Despite Pitts' reluctance to confirm the supplier, speculation is rife that the deal is in the bag for KBA.
KBA sold its first web press in the UK in nearly a decade in 2003. The 4.5m 48pp Compacta C618 was ordered last April by Woodford Litho and began running in February.
Meanwhile NJP has renewed its contract to produce Sainsbury's Magazine.
This is the third year that NJP has handled the contract for the supermarket giant. The monthly title is published by New Crane.

KBA is hotly tipped to be the supplier of New Jarrold Printings (NJP) new web presses. When pressed, an NJP insider quipped that KBA stood for Kannot Be Announced.
