KBA (16-C47) also has a flexo press on its 3,000sqm booth for the first time.
A double-pile delivery previously only seen on banknote presses has been added to the Rapida 145 for quality-critical applications such as pharma printing. “If there is one bad sheet in a pile for these customers the job usually gets returned in full,” said chairman Claus Bolza-Schünemann.
The new VariJet 106 marries KBA offset printing units with Xerox Impika inkjet technology and a range of pre- and post-print treatment options.
KBA has a virtual presentation in a special cube on its booth.
“This is a very unique solution. We can run high solids using offset and the rest digital. We believe it will be the benchmark,” said Ralf Sammeck, chief executive of KBA Sheetfed Solutions.
