Long-serving Sonicon boss Phil Judd has parted company with the Impac Group.
Judd, who was managing director of Sonic Plates before its acquisition by the then-Tinsley Robor thirteen years ago, left the firm last Friday (11 August).
Former colleagues described him as "an institution" at the West London-based business.
Impac, which has recently been acquired by huge American group Westvaco, said in an internal memo to staff that divisional managing director Judd "wishes to pursue his career outside the Westvaco Corporation."
Impac Europe chief executive Lee Newbon said: "Phil decided that was the path he wanted to take. I'm sure that he will make a great success of whatever he decides to do in the future."
Judd is currently on holiday, and was unavailable for comment.
Following Judds departure Pinepoint Repro managing director Colin Baker will take over some of his responsibilities. Thamesdown Colour managing director Chris Watson will report directly to Newbon.
