Journeyman celebrates a half-century in print

Brian Tucknott has seen his fair share of the print industry over his time, but for Bezier's head estimating manager, enough is quite simply not enough as this workhorse is now celebrating his 50th year in the trade.

Starting as an apprentice in Sussex-based Lewes Press back in 1960, Brian learnt his trade for a fair few years before becoming a self-confessed "journeyman".

He spent time at reputable city printer Burrups, Mathieson & Co, which later became St Ives Financial, before leaving in 1973 to join Balding & Mansell in Cambridgeshire.

Tucknott says the highlights of his career are plentiful, but the moments he particularly enjoyed include winning awards from esteemed publications such as this one.

"I could have retired last Friday, but Bezier is a very good company and they kindly let me stay on," he says.
If Bezier is interested in Post Script's opinion, they would have been foolish to let him go.
