The move, which was effective as of 18 November, will see Vism work together with Josero on sales and support for its software to Josero’s customer base.
Vism has been developing the specialist cloud-based software since 2018 and its apps are now used to manage installations for businesses in the UK, Europe, Canada, and the US. Over 800 people in the UK now use Vism to run installations.
Josero managing director Sarah Winterbottom said: “We are very happy to be partnering with Vism; their product is very niche and specific to our industry, it brings together great innovation giving far improved efficiency to the headache of organising installations for our customers.
“The initial response from customers is excellent and having spoken to people already using it, they wonder how they managed without it.
“This product allows us to work closer with our customers to offer them solutions to fix pain points in their business.”
Vism CEO Dan Tyler told Printweek the company was delighted to be working with Josero as one of its first partners.
“Josero has always been known as a business that’s very solutions-focused, they spend a lot of time building up really solid relationships with customers who tend to stick with them for a lot of years.
“And I think because of that they tend to start out with a lot of smaller businesses or start-ups who will grow with them over time by upgrading their machines and expanding their capabilities.
“Because of that, one of the first things that we saw when I first started talking with them about this partner program was that there are a lot of growing businesses in their customer base who maybe haven’t had technology, systems, or software in place up until a certain point.
“So there’s many businesses within there that have a lot of potential and I think Josero see a lot of opportunity to help them grow in a smart, sustainable way.”
Tyler added he saw the launch of the new partner program – both in the UK and overseas – as “our biggest growth opportunity” and the business is in talks to add other partners in the coming months.
“We’ve all seen in the industry that channel partner programs tend to work quite well in this space,” he said.
“We’re not a big-ticket item so we don’t necessarily need that same level of aftersales support from the resellers. That’s why we’ve named it a partner program, in that we will partner with people, help them to understand the software and the solution, and then identify within their customer base people that it can help and support, and then we’ll work with them to introduce it to those people.”
In September Ricoh appointed Josero as a UK reseller for its full range of direct-to-garment (DTG) printers and the latest generation of its wide-format Latex printers.
Vism, meanwhile, launched a free online tool earlier this month to help print and signage companies in the UK to find freelance and subcontract installers.
