The Sustainable Development award, presented by the Lord Lieutenant for Dorset, Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson CVO RN, was in recognition of the companys dedication and mission to provide the highest possible quality of waste recycling and disposal services to the printing and photographic industries.
It was presented to joint managing directors Steve and Julie Armstrong, the husband and wife team who set up the company 18 years ago.
J&G processes over 3m tonnes of chemical waste a year from printers and photo labs. Future developments for its 60,000m2 site include an on-site engineering plant for prefabrication and repair of all collection and storage equipment, as well as a specialised flushing and cleaning unit.
Companies attending the ceremony included the Northcliffe Newspaper Group, St Ives, Polestar, Southernprint and the BPIF.
