Iceton’s arrival has also raised further questions about Jarrold Printing’s future at its Norwich city centre site. At Clays, he was behind the ultimately unsuccessful bid to move the St Ives book-printing subsidiary from its Bungay plant.
Willard said he was "extremely concerned that so many senior, experienced members of staff who have been instrumental in maintaining Jarrolds’ position in the web offset industry are to be removed en bloc in this fashion".
"It leaves a serious question mark over the directors’ plans for the future of the business and how they intend to run it," he added.
Iceton joined Jarrolds in a consultancy role last month (PrintWeek, 30 August).
The Jarrold family increased its involvement in the business in March when Charles Jarrold replaced Rob Mills, who assumed responsibility for the printing division at the start of the year on the departure of William Mills.
Charles Jarrold was unavailable for comment as PrintWeek went to press.
