Indigo has appointed Nancy Janes as UK customer business development manager.
"The more successful our customers are, the better it is for everyone," she said. "I aim to increase both print volume and value."
Janes will be running courses, workshops and offering individual consultancy to Indigo users to promote best practice in marketing digital print.
She will also be helping them to hold open days and to pitch to key accounts.
Topics covered will include variable data, special and corporate colour, "to enable users to take advantage of the unique capabilities of Indigo".
"Variable data printing in particular is currently only scratching the surface of what can be done," she said. "That will change once people understand the return on investment per page rather than focusing on cost per page."
Indigo is planning to build up its customer business development operation within its marketing department with more staff in the future.
Janes worked for Indigo in sales prior to her appointment. Her new role places her in the firms marketing department, headed by marketing manager Richard Davies.
He said: "Nancys experience in digital printing coupled with her drive and enthusiasm makes her ideally qualified for this role."
