Following a move to larger premises, the company decided to replace the 90cm machine with its modern equipment, designed to handle a range of finished and semi-finished materials including paper, cardstock, paperboard and plastic foils.
Jadan Press, which produces menus, leaflets, business stationery and other commercial work, also bought a stacker to give the company additional capacity headroom.
Managing director Pam Wainman said: "Our Polar guillotine had never let us down but now we have all the modern accessories, including so much programmability that I think we'll only use a small part of its functionality. There's quite a buzz among the operators about this latest investment."
The company has also ordered PDF Toolbox software to complete an upgrade of its studio to help the business quickly create print-ready files from incoming artwork, although it also has a in-house design studio.
