Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has confirmed that the 15 July edition of the Daily Telegraph will be the first edition printed at News International's print arm Newsprinters' Eurocentral site in Scotland.
Staff at Trafford Park Printers, which is owned jointly by Guardian Media Group and TMG, were informed on Monday (7 July) of the timetable of the change.
PrintWeek also understands that the transfer out of TPP to Newsprinters' Knowsley site will begin at the end of July. TMG added that the last copies are set to be moved to Knowsley in mid-August.
A TMG spokesperson said: "TMG's decision earlier this year to move existing print operations from sites at Trafford Park, Oxford and West Ferry followed a detailed exploration of all the options.
"It was concluded that the brand new NPG presses offered the best and most competitive option to ensure the future prosperity of TMG's newspaper titles and to deliver a high quality product to Telegraph customers."
As of yet there is no confirmed date for the remaining Telegraphs to switch from the existing print site at Westferry to News International's Broxbourne facility.
Brian McGee, managing director Newsprinters, added: "Newsprinters welcomes Telegraph Media Group to our new printworks at Knowsley and Eurocentral.
"The decision to print the Telegraph titles using our new state-of-the-art presses represents a huge investment by TMG in its newspaper titles and we look forward to delivering a high quality product for them."
News International first revealed that it would print TMG's titles at its new £650m press network last May.
