The business, Midsomer Norton-based Integrity Print’s transactional division, took delivery of the Bowe Systec Letter Sorter System (Consolidator) earlier this year. It went into live production at the end of May following three weeks of installation, configuration, testing, and on-site operator training.
The machine will allow the company to prepare post for despatch in a more optimised and efficient way. This enables the merging of smaller jobs to create larger mail sorted files that can be processed through Integrity Connect’s preferred postal carriers.
Integrity Print CEO Mark Cornford said: “Our transactional business was formed in 2009. Although a fledging division, it had aspirations of significant growth. “Bowe Systec were best placed to offer the combination of market-leading equipment capability, as well as outstanding customer service that we were looking for. This investment marks the latest step towards enhancing our capability and strengthening our position in the marketplace.”
Bowe Systec UK senior account manager Steve Basnett added: “An in-depth examination of Integrity Connect’s mail formats and existing postal distribution charges in Q4 2020 led to a significant opportunity to manage mailing costs.
“Due diligence was undertaken by both parties and Bowe Systec UK were able to offer a highly flexible, modular, cost-efficient letter sorting solution to meet the current and future needs of the business.”
The Bowe Systec Letter Sorter System (Consolidator) can process letters up to 36,000/hr and postcard formats up to 48,000/hr. With its Windows 10-based Winsort operating software, the system is modular and configurable for both outbound and inbound mail sorting.
At the start of 2021 Integrity Print increased its high-volume leaflet production capacity after investing in a new Hunkeler automated finishing line. The business also runs kit from Canon, HP, Muller Martini, BlueCrest, Nipson, Tamarack, and Goebel at its 65,000sqm site.
It serves financial, retail, charity, public sector, logistics, packaging, and food and beverage clients as well as the NHS, among others.
