The event, 'How to Adapt and Grow with Digital Packaging', will take place on 27 June at the Xerox Innovation Centre, Uxbridge, and follows a similar event held last year.
The companies said visitors will experience advances in e-commerce, the latest print technology for producing short-run print and packaging material, and the latest digital flatbed die-cutting packaging and laminating technology.
Guest speakers will include Kevin O’Donnell, head of marketing – Graphic Communications and Production Systems, UK, Ireland and The Nordics at Xerox, Phil Gaskin, business development channel manager, UK, Ireland and Middle East, for XMPie, and Lewis Evans, product and sales manager at Vivid.
XMPie’s Gaskin said: “I’d encourage people to come along and see how other print service providers are using XMPie software to deliver cost savings through automation and increase revenues by offering exciting new applications and services.
“I’ll be demonstrating a complete end-to-end web-to-print automation of creative personalised packaging – from web browser to finished product which you’ll be able take away on the day. You’ll see both the user experience, and the touchless production process.”
Vivid’s Evans added: “The event is the perfect show to see a variety of print finishing equipment in action and learn about the most up-to-date digital printing and packaging applications and tips.
“Vivid will be showcasing our wide range of products including the Matrix systems for lamination, foiling and special effects and the Zip Core packaging software, which has been created to optimise every aspect of packaging design from start to finish.
“In addition to this, our award-winning VeloTaper flatbed taping system, that increases the efficiency of placing adhesive tape on packaging and stationery, will also be on display.
“I’ll be on hand to provide any advice and support that customers may need to help them automate their production, increase efficiency, and diversify their business.
“If you’re searching for new ways to maximise profitability and productivity, then this is a one-day event not to be missed.”
Steve Andrew, sales director north and GC at Xeretec, also commented: “We will be showcasing a customer case study with a live demonstration of how they have trebled their revenue in the last 18 months, along with technology demonstrations on the day of end-to-end packaging utilising the latest digital presses and finishing.
“I believe this will offer a great opportunity for any forward-thinking print communications business to capture the endless capabilities of building an online store and how to attract new customers. The technology available on the day will also showcase personalised finished merchandise.”
At the event, there will also be an opportunity to win two match day hospitality tickets for either The Tottenham Stadium or Anfield during the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The day starts at 10am and a buffet lunch will be served at 1pm.
