Maurice Payne Colourprint has spent just under 1m on a B2 five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74 LX UV. It prints 15,000 sheets an hour and can output coated and varnished catalogues, magazines and brochures, said Maurice Payne, managing director of the Theale, Reading-based firm.

Taylor Bloxham has sponsored and printed 20,000 brochures for a children's arts festival. Copies of the brochure will be distributed in Leicester later this month. The firm also used recycled paper for flyers and posters. Spark Festival director Ellen Bianchini welcomed the eco-friendliness of print materials. Taylor Bloxham marketing assistant Julie Gregory said: "The project was good for the environment without losing visual impact."
