The Imprinta exhibition at the Messe Dusseldorf has been postponed until 20-25 February 2003 "in the interests of international industry".
The original date was June 2002, only nine weeks after Ipex 2002 and bang in the middle of Drupas four-year cycle.
Horst Klosterkemper, manager of the organiser, said: "It cant be in the interests of the international exhibiting industry if two international trade fairs covering the graphic communications industry are held in Dusseldorf and Birmingham within eight weeks of each other."
The decision follows months of speculation about the timing of the exhibition.
