It spent just under 300,000 on a package that included a Polar 66 guillotine and Epson 4000 proofer to handle the 500,000 deal for multiple jobs.
"It takes around 15 minutes to set a job and faster turnaround and makeready times are needed because of the number of jobs," said managing director Barry Hodgson.
The 10,000sph Quickmaster joins a NexPress, recently upgraded from four- to five-colour, at the nine-staff firm's Liverpool base.
"We considered a B2 press with CTP but that's a step too far at this stage."
Impress Digital is due to relocate from its 400sqm Liverpool factory to a 1,500sqm base nearby this month.
