WAM!NET has tempted away Chris Friend, Imations national business manager of printing and publishing systems.
He took up his new post as WAM!NETs European deputy managing director on Monday.
Friend, who is now based at WAM!NETs European headquarters in Bournemouth, has 17 years experience in the UK graphics imaging market, including
a stint as general manager
of MacEurope, a supplier
of workflow integration
services.
We are delighted to have someone of Chris experience and understanding of cross-media platforms and services join us at this time, said WAM!NET managing director Denice Gibson.
Our services business grew 150% globally in 1999, and we believe there is an outstanding opportunity in Europe to deliver unique new value to companies that produce and manage digital media, Gibson added.
Friends first week in post consisted of a whistle-stop tour of WAM!NETs European operations.
