The latest member of the DesignJet family targets the technical markets including repro and map production.
It includes job accounting and facility management features. According to HP the series "combines high throughput colour printing at low running costs as well as copying and scanning".
"There is increasing demand for colour in architectural and engineering communications," said HP UK and Ireland large-format business manager Mark Ellis.
The machine, which will begin shipping in January, comes with two variable width roll feeds that can handle substrates up to 175m long. Prices start at 7,700.
