Howitt wins Thunderbirds deal

Howitt has picked up the contract to print 20m scratch cards as part of BPs promotional tie-up with Thunderbirds.

The Sutton-in-Ashfield firm worked alongside BP's agency Taylor Gibson Associates. The scratch cards were produced on Howitt's Heidelberg CD 102 sheetfed press and the promotion is featured on BP forecourts.

"It's an unusual job for us as we've not done many forecourt promotions before," said Howitt chief executive Nick Dixon.

"We got the contract through our relationship with Taylor Gibson."

The game cards feature five Thunderbirds vehicles, separated by a perforation to incorporate a collectable card. Prizes include Nectar points and holidays.

Last month, Howitt project managed the Home Office's booklet Preparing for Emergencies what you need to know. The publication had an initial print run of 25m (PrintWeek, 29 July).
