Howitt pre-press site to look at front-end for gravure operation

Howitt has invested 250,000 in a pre-press facility that will investigate front-end publication workflow options for its new gravure operation, Equator.

Howitt Imaging has been formed from Redgrape, the Edinburgh repro house that was part of Channel Print, which Howitt bought in March from Guiton Group.

Heading up the operation is Howitt Group pre-press director Colin Campbell, who was previously managing director of Redgrape.

Were advising on strategic investment for Equator, said Campbell. Its research and development only at this point, although that may change when Equator goes live.
