The traditional cloathing ceremony took place on 1 October at Stationers’ Hall in the City of London.

Horwood has worked for the Hobs Group at its Manchester offices since 2000. He became a Freeman of the Stationers’ Company in 2017.

Group chief executive of the Hobs Group, James Duckenfield, who is also a Liveryman of the Stationers’ Company, said: “Becoming a Liveryman is a key step in becoming a contributing member of a livery company. The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers maintains ancient traditions whilst staying relevant to the print, packaging, and media industries that are amongst the key readership of Printweek.

“After more than 20 years in the industry, Craig is equipped to make a great contribution to the Company and its membership.”

The Stationers’ Company, which was founded in 1403, is the City of London livery company for the communications and content industries. It received a Royal Charter in 1557 and became a livery company in 1560.

Today, it has nearly 1,000 members from across the UK and beyond, the majority of whom are senior executives in or providing professional services to the print, packaging and media industries. Membership now includes major companies as well as individuals.
