Home-based printer takes on bigger post-press rivals with Titan cutting kit

A print firm based in its owner's home has bought a new guillotine from Terry Cooper Services.

The Print Factory runs two digital presses, a bookletmaking line and 54-inch wide-format digital printer/cutter.

The Baldock, Hertfordshire-based firm has expanded its equipment suite with a Titan 200 guillotine, with the machine’s small footprint being an obvious plus.

Owner Christopher Lunnon said: “We are competing on the same terms as other A3 commerical printers, and like anyone else, we need our equipment to be productive and capable of meeting high-quality standards.

“But as you can imagine, space saving is very much a priority, and the Titan is a good example of how you can put a lot of technology into a small, compact machine.”
