The press manufacturer now boasts 18 dedicated academies for the print industry, including a state-of-the-art research and training centre in its headquarters in Germany, along with Asian centres in Kuala Lumpur, Shenzen, Tokyo and Kabul.
Speaking through an electronic broadcast, chief executive Bernhard Schreier expressed his happiness at fulfilling his promise of a PMA in India during the 50th anniversary of Heidelberg having a presence in the country.
He also announced that PMA India would host the first International Executive Forum, which will aim to enable printers to discover the benefits of working in India.
The PMA includes a shop floor for hands-on training and demonstration that features a Suprasetter A75 with Prinect workflow, an SM 74 four-colour with Prinect Axis control and perfecting, along with a Polar 115 X and Stahl folder KLL with normal delivery and pressing station and delivery.
The head of PMA India Rajendra Anayath said: "PMA India to begin with, will offer courses on material related to printing problems, press adjustment and standardisation, and prepress workflow and standardisation."
