Chalmers, who began in the role four weeks ago, will be tasked with selling Heidelberg’s full product range, from printing presses to consumables, throughout Scotland. He has replaced Kenney who has left Heidelberg after 17 years to work for a customer.
Chalmers' most recent role was as business development manager at Capital Group, where he worked since November 2013. Prior to that he worked as sales manager at Winter & Simpson Print for more than seven years and as technical sales representative at Litho Supplies for nearly 14 years.
“This is a great opportunity to join the market leader with its broad portfolio of products,” said Chalmers.
Heidelberg UK sales manager Phil Buttress added: “Brian has a strong industry background in both equipment and consumables that is relevant for Heidelberg’s comprehensive product range. He is joining an effective team supporting customers in Scotland and will bring a fresh approach.”
In the last few weeks Heidelberg has installed new machinery at a number of Scottish printers including Pandaprint, Cowan Print, DENA Screenprint and Multiprint.
