The West Sussex-based pressroom consumables manufacturer's Enviro range contains 12 products, all of which are guaranteed to be less harmful to their environment than their traditional equivalents.

HDP managing director David Sheard said that although printers were already familiar with health and safety requirements, there was still a lot of misinformation and confusion in the industry about the links between chemicals and their environmental impact.

"Our plan is to provide an information back-up to printers trying to go green but in need of expert technical advice," said Sheard.

The products include Envirostrip, an ink stripper producing non volatile organic compounds (VOCs), Envirosolve, a blanket and roller rejuvenator and TotalRespect LA fountain solution. Each product will be supplied with a technical sheet explaining current legislation and environmental benefits of each product.
