By September, two Goss Colorliner 70 four-high towers will extend Trafford Parks Goss Headliner Offset presses, which were previously augmented by two four-high towers.
At West Ferry Printers one of its Goss HOT70 presses will be extended with a shaftless Goss HT 17-cylinder four-high tower, while another HOT70 will get a 13-cylinder three-high tower. The work starts in April and should take nine months to complete.
Trafford Park managing director Jaques de Wit said: "The investment in new Goss Colorliner press equipment is driven by the need for more colour, as well as some pagination flexibility."
De Wit added that The Guardian and Manchester Evening News would exploit the increased colour capacity.
West Ferry chief executive Bill Wenman said: "The Goss expansion route chosen was the most logical because it provided complete compatibility and integration with existing Goss HT equipment."
