Growth-focused Blackmore makes key appointments

Blackmore has said it plans to expand with the purchase of additional print companies after the firm made two new appointments that it hopes will improve service.

Dorset-based Blackmore has appointed Simon West, an employee at the company for 13 years, as commercial director. Nigel Hunt, who has been with Blackmore since 1988, has become its new production manager.

Their roles will help keep service levels continually high while the company looks to acquire additional print companies as part of its group expansion plans, according to the firm.

Sales director Aubrey Aviss said: “This is great news for the company, but most importantly our customers. We are 100% committed to delivering the best possible service and pricing to existing and potential clients and these top-level appointments will help us achieve that.

“These guys have an enormous wealth of experience and we’re really excited about working together to deliver fantastic print solutions while minimising our impact on the environment.”

ISO 14001-accredited Blackmore specialises in coldset web and promotional print. It is also working towards FSC certification.

The firm is part of the TH Brickell group of companies, which has a combined turnover of £12 million and employs more than 110 staff.
