The firm, which has developed a water-based thermally cured ink Aquares that is claimed to be able to print onto any substrate, has moved to the Lakeside Science & Technology Park on the campus of Klagenfurt University is Austria.

"We are excited by this move it really takes u into a new and exciting location alongside other companies using high technology to benefit the environment," said Sepiax managing director Franz Aigner.

The firm moved to the new site to meet an increased demand for visits from dealers, equipment vendors and potential end users. The site is also close to Klagenfurt airport.

So far the firm, which is a member of the Gernot Langes-Swarovski Group, has developed a water-based resin ink that can be used in some Epson printheads.

It is a similar class of materials to HP’s latex inks, being water-based, but is suitable for use in piezo rather than thermal printheads.
