Leeds-based GDI went into administration along with its parent, Blackpool-based Grasmere Press, last month with the loss of 91 jobs across the two companies (PrintWeek, 23 September).
A spokesman for administrator Tenon Recovery said that despite considerable interest in the trade and assets of Grasmere Press, a sale of the business as a whole now seemed unlikely.
He said Tenon would now be seeking offers on the plant and property. Software and consultancy firm Ivor Solution, a supplier to GDI, has stressed that it is unaffected by GDI's move into administration.
Ivor Solutions' chief technical officer Jeff Birch said it remained business as usual, and the firm had already signed a deal for PPS to continue to use its Print Evolved on-line print management and print automation system.
Digital printer PPS, also based in Leeds, was bought out of Elements in 2001 by its former owner Howard Dean.
At the time of GDI's move into administration, business card and badge specialist BIG Group was one of several companies that also expressed an interest.
