David Broadhurst, chairman of the group and chief executive of Broughton Printers, part of the Express Group, said the it was the biggest development in his five-year tenure "without doubt".
"The concept of it all, the inkers and dampers moving away from the main cylinders was all demonstrated in working order, it was quite revolutionary," he said.
At Drupa the concept was made up of four-high compact towers, the units of which would be able to slide apart allowing access to inker assemblies. The print cylinders could also be slid away allowing format changes.
"It's a revolutionary press concept and yet is based on such a fundamental proven product platform [the Colorliner]," said Goss marketing director David Stamp.
The two-day event was attended by around 130 users, over 100 of which were from the UK.
