GMG in upgrade discount offer

GMG has teamed with Epson to offer a cut price proofing bundle in a bid to get the bulk of its customer base upgraded to the latest version of GMG ColorProof.

The two companies have bundled GMG's ColorProof 5.2 with an Epson 9890SP for £6,995 (RRP £13,660) as an upgrade offer for existing ColorProof eight-up users.

Different bundle offers are available for 2-up and 4-up users, while software-only upgrades are available for a flat fee of £495 plus the cost of a Service Upgrade Contract (SUC) for ColorProof 4.x users or just the SUC cost for 5.x users.

Printers and repro houses taking advantage of the deal will be upgraded to ColorProof 5.2 with a free upgrade to 5.3 when it is released in November and any other upgrades for 12 months from the date of purchase.

The Epson 9890SP features an in-built spectrophotometer for automatic calibration, larger ink cartridges for longer running and lower costs, improved grey balance and image quality over older Epson printers and faster production for contract proofing.

GMG ColorProof features include the latest Fogra certifications and Media Wedge, improved spot colour and profile handling and paper colour adjustment, as well as custom dot proofing and media wedge creation and the ability to automatically make Proof Control standards from custom MX4 profiles.
