SwissQprint said the initiative reflected its commitment to making high-quality printing technology accessible to companies of all sizes.
Founded in London in 2017 by Justas Gadliauskas, GMD initially focused on manufacturing signage.
While the company had originally been looking at a secondhand machine for its latest investment, after a visit to SwissQprint UK’s Bracknell headquarters it decided to invest in a new Nyala 4, financed through the bespoke package from Compass.
The six-colour machine, which was installed at the end of May, is equipped with white and varnish as well as the roll-to-roll option.
GMD also took up the option of the 36-month warranty offered by SwissQprint to give extra peace of mind. The warranty covers maintenance and servicing of the printer, with dedicated UK support ensuring it is always optimised for the best results possible.
Gadliauskas said: “Quality has always been paramount for us. Utilising a finance model with Compass allowed us to invest in the best equipment without straining our cashflow. The Nyala 4 has transformed our business, enabling us to take on bigger contracts with top-tier clients in the retail sector.”
Mark Nelson, director at Compass Business Finance, also commented: “Our understanding of the print market, combined with our flexible and competitive financing options, allows us to structure deals that work for our customers. The collaboration with SwissQprint means we can offer packages that support businesses at every stage of their growth.”
Erskine Stewart, managing director of SwissQprint UK, added: “Our goal is to support our customers in every possible way. The success of GMD is a perfect example of what can be achieved with the right technology and financial support.”
Earlier this year GMD also took on a Canon Colorado M5W UVgel printer, purchased from CMYUK.
The business employs seven in its production team, with a nine-strong team on installations, and following an expansion from a 50sqm unit to a 420sqm unit in Deptford last year, it doubled its turnover from around £900,000 to around £1.8m.
