GMC integrates MindFire into PrintNet software

GMC Software Technology has added new features including rich text format (RTF) workflow and MindFire integration to the latest release of its updated PrintNet Designer software.

Version 5.2 offers improved RTF import handling for tables, embedded images and variables, and adds automatic input mapping to RTF field names.

GMC has also added the ability to import entire documents from MS Word into PrintNet Designer, while ensuring document formatting is retained.

The latest version of the software now includes MindFire integration, which offers support for data creation of personalised URLs.

This allows MindFire jobs to be processed in the same way as other PrintNet jobs that use a regular data file. Such URLs can now be automatically appended to PrintNet jobs during proofing and production.

PrintNet Designer allows users to create personalised documents for direct marketing, on-demand publishing and transactional applications, as well as the development of transpromo documents.

René Müller, chief executive of GMC Software Technology, said: "We pay close attention to how the market evolves and how our customers' needs change so that we can ensure PrintNet software is always at the forefront with the right capabilities."

GMC has also appointed Rhys Morgan as managing director of its operations in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and South Africa.

"I will be using my experience across industries to broaden the base of the business and help the company target its services more efficiently so that it can achieve its potential," he said.
