Glossop Cartons helps NHS charity collect the pennies

Packaging manufacturer Glossop Cartons has helped a charity organisation to collect spare change from around the community.

Working with Central Manchester University Hospitals' NHS Foundation Trust Charity, Glossop Cartons produced, printed and donated 5,000 collecting cubes.

The cubes will be distributed in various locations around the Manchester area to collect money for the charity, which provides additional resources that benefit patients and their families across the region.

Each carton is able to hold a mixture of coins and the Trust said that it hoped the small change would "soon add up to help us make a big difference in supporting continued excellence in treatment, care and research" at each of the five hospitals.

Glossop Cartons director Vicky Every said: "Our business is about producing quality carton board packaging products, so it made perfect sense for us to team up with such a worthwhile charity.

"We are delighted to help them to make a difference to patients at the most difficult of times by donating a CMFT Charity branded collecting cube. We are very grateful for the help of Varsity Packaging in Reading, who provided the board, and Laserline Dyes in Stockport, who provided the cutting forme."
