The company, part of GI Solutions Group, will provide direct mail, including one-piece mailers, door drops and mail packs as part of the three-year contract.
The deal, which began on 1 August, has the option to extend the contact for an extra year if needed.
GI Direct is one of 28 suppliers involved in the framework, worth between £6-£10m per annum, which required all involved to tender through EU procurement laws.
Patrick Headley, sales director at GI Direct, said: "This is really good news for GI Direct and confirms our position as a leading supplier of print services to the public sector.
"Print communications are an essential part of any government’s efforts at keeping in touch with its constituents and we look forward to supporting the Welsh Assembly’s requirements in this area and sharing our experience, knowledge and skills in delivering high-quality printed materials."
Other printers on the framework include St Ives, Pindar, Howitt, DWJ Colourprint and MWL Print Group.
