GHP denies sell-off rumour

Garden House Press has quashed rumours that it is the subject of a potential sale or merger, after weeks of intense speculation.

"I can quite emphatically say that no one has made me an offer for the business," said managing director Derek Langeveld.

Despite denying sale rumours, Langeveld said if he could get a reasonable price for the business he would talk to any interested party.

Langeveld also rejected claims that had surfaced concerning a possible merger with Twickenham-based report & accounts printer CTD Capita, with CTD moving into Garden House's Greenford site.

CTD Parent company The Capita Group has reaffirmed that it remains business as usual at the site.

CTD Capita managing director Tony Manser was unavailable for comment.

One name that has surfaced as a potential bidder for both businesses has been Leonard Wheatley, a director of print provider and print management business Chris Fowler International.

Wheatley declined to comment when contacted by PrintWeek.
