"It will allow us to print great solids and print on thicker boards, which is important as we handle everything from little to large," said managing director Geoff Neal.
The CD, which is 2,000sph faster than the SM, will also allow the Feltham-based firm to add a special and seal or two specials to its four-colour work.
The latest investment follows on from a Heidelberg Stahl TH82 Buckle folder recently installed at its 1,450m factory, expanding on the folding options for its section and leaflet jobs.
"Now we also have computer set-up and improved makeready times and running speeds," said Neal. The firm also offers digital printing and stitching in-house.
